Margins presents a collective of artists that initially formed to exhibit work inspired by the natural world. For this exhibition, each artist invited the others to develop work around a suggested prompt. Margins bring together responses in a range of media including painting, poetry and print.
Birds tumble onto the red list, insects face extinction before they are even named. In a world of diminishing spaces for nature, the margins are where wilderness survives.
‘ Margin-land’ is a metaphor for those liminal spaces between order and chaos where nature, and art, can exist.
